Short term rentals are a powerful financial force for our local community. Through my involvement in managing a handful of these properties here in Salt Lake City, I've had the opportunity to witness the extensive positive impacts that this kind of tourism has on many individuals, myself included. I started a short term rental cleaning company 2 years ago and it’s been amazing to see how many people get to benefit from these vacation rentals. I have a team of 8 cleaners and together we have perfected our processes down so that we can accept every clean that comes our way. We’ve streamlined the training process and offer live support during our turnover hours. What do the turnover cleanings include?

All surfaces wiped down; including counters, tables, TV stands, and dusting through the house

Dishes washed and put away

Remove fingerprints and grime behind the handles of high trafficked areas such as kitchen appliances, coffee maker, and bathroom hardware

Remove used sheets, wash, and make beds. Lint roller used for hair or lint removal as needed

Microfiber cloths are used over the cleaned surfaces to help buff and polish the sink and hardware

​Replace trash bags with new liners

Febreze is used to freshen the space

Sanitation of common areas, we use fabric disinfectants for couches and throws, and lysol air sanitizer on light switches and over surfaces

Clean the coffee maker and tray, checking for any K cups or coffee grounds left behind. Wipe down machine for fingerprints etc

Bathrooms cleaned and sanitized and removal of seen hair at the time of cleaning. Please keep in mind that hair and debris are in the air and we try our best to make sure nothing is left behind within our control. We go back through at the end of the cleaning to double check our work sometime by another cleaner.

Staging of the home: fluffing the pillows and making sure the furniture is clean and removing seen hairs, lint, and debris left behind

Kitchen appliances wiped down; including microwave, outside of the oven, and refrigerator. Items in the refrigerator thrown out.

Check silverware in drawers for hard water spots or any unclean utensils and double check for crumbs.

Vacuum/sweep and mop the entire inside

Laundry is completed on location with detergent provided by the host. Notified when supplies run low.
